YCH Indonesia, Asia Pacific’s leading integrated end-to-end supply chain management and logistics partner, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Pangan Lestari, one of the largest Indonesian importer and distributor of food products under temperature-controlled management.
Under the MoU, both companies will jointly develop integrated cold chain supply management to facilitate retail, catering and distribution fulfillment. This will be done through the development, expansion and use of existing facilities of both companies, as well as the development of identified sites in the appointed markets in Indonesia.
This signals the homegrown company’s commitment towards helping local SMEs explore business and manufacturing opportunities in Indonesia. Over the next six months, YCH will collaborate with Pangan Lestari in three key areas:
a) Conduct a feasibility study to help Singapore SMEs explore new markets in Indonesia in locations such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali, Semarang, Yogyakarta and Bandung
b) Offer SMEs supply chain management services including cold chain, warehouse management, freight forwarding, retail, catering, and transportation for products such chilled and frozen food (poultry, meat, seafood and fast moving edible consumer goods)
c) Identify, discuss and possibly undertake joint marketing activities to be offered to potential Indonesian customers, with a focus on Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and services for import of raw materials
