Course Overview

This six-day intensive workshop is designed to provide professionals in the supply chain and electronics industries with a deep dive into Taiwan’s pivotal role in global electronics. Through a series of site visits, expert talks, and interactive sessions, participants will gain first-hand insight into the strategies and operations that have cemented Taiwan’s status as a global leader in this sector.

Program Outline

Pre-Trip Online Workshop: Industry Transformation Focus Session

Duration: 4 hours

Conducted two weeks before the trip, this online preparatory session will lay the groundwork for the on-site experience. Participants will engage in discussions about industry transformation, explore case studies, and prepare for the in-depth exploration of Taiwan’s electronics supply chain.

Main Workshop Lesson Plan in Taiwan:

Day 1 (Sunday): Arrival and Orientation

Meet at Changi Airport and travel to Taipei.

Check-in at the hotel followed by a networking dinner where the programme overview and expectations will be set.

Day 2 (Monday): Understanding Taiwan’s Industrial Landscape

Introduction to Taiwan’s industrial strength and influence in the global arena.

Deep dive into Taiwan’s role in the global tech supply chain.

Site Visit 1: TSMC Innovation Centre.

Day 3 (Tuesday): Exploring Operations Excellence

Site Visits & Dialogue with Hosts:

Day 4 (Wednesday): High-Tech Focus

Site Visits & Dialogue with Hosts:

  • MarketTech International Corp
  • Hetai Toyota Food/Toyota Material Handling

Day 5 (Thursday): Analyzing Trends and Future Directions

  • Sessions on Taiwan’s dominance in semiconductors and its tech transformation.
  • Group discussion to reflect on the week’s insights and learnings.
  • Individual project proposal presentations, applying workshop learnings to real-world scenarios.
  • Conclusion of the program with a synthesis of key takeaways.
  • Farewell dinner to celebrate the week’s journey and collaborations.

Day 6 (Friday): Departure

Participants take their flights back to Singapore, equipped with knowledge and experiences to impact their work and industries.
