COURSE OVERVIEW

This is a 3-day workshop that provides a macro-overview of various technologies impacting the logistics and supply chain sector. Participants in this program can expect to be fully engaged through walkthroughs, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises with various technologies. These include

  • 3D Printing,
  • Immersive Technologies/Metaverse & NFTs,
  • the Internet of Things,
  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning,
  • Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and
  • Autonomous Robotics.

For professionals seeking to enhance their understanding of logistics and supply chain operations management. Those in career transition who want to gain a quick immersive industry experience will find this program a useful starting point.

Program Outline
  • Day 1 – Overview of Industry 4.0/Demystifying Smart Tehnologies/Internet of Things
  • Day 2 -Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation
  • Day 3 – Autonomous Technologies & Robotics/Innovation Maturity Matrix/Innovation Toolkit

The first day of the workshop will set the pace fo the discussion on how Industry 4.0 is driving process, technologies and talent changes in companies. The introduction of Internet of Things (IoT) and use of smart sensors will also be covered in day one. In addition, challenges relating to indoor Real Time Location tracking will discussed. Hands-on demonstration on the applications of Augmented and Virtual Reality will be provided to all participants

Participants will be provided with an over of RPA and a live walk-through of a RPA application. Differences between Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning will be deliberated and demonstrated. 

An overview of the construct of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and its practical applications will be evaluated. Finally, participants will learn more about the Innovation Maturity Matrix as well as how they can apply the Innovation Toolkit to put together a project scope that could utilise the technologies in their place of work or for future adoption.

COURSE OVERVIEW

This is a 5-day workshop focusing specifically on skills training in Robotic Process Automation and Machine Learning. This programme applies relevant RPA and machine learning techniques to help businesses move from traditional operations and supply chain models to connected, intelligent, scalable and customisable supply networks. 

It seeks to equip participants with basic data analytics skills and RPA knowledge that can be utilised to improve the efficiency of supply chain management and create effectiveness.

COURSE DETAILS

Participants will gain knowledge through highly interactive learning, gradually acquiring their abilities over multiple hands-on practices and projects related to RPA and machine learning. They will subsequently apply the knowledge acquired to help transform their business operations to next-generation operating models.

The course will provide foundational knowledge in the following areas:

  • State of global supply chain and logistics development today
  • Impact of digitalisation on supply chain operations
  • Adoption and implementation of tech solutions such as Robotic Process Automation and Machine Learning

In this program, we will also be exploring the successes/challenges relating to the adoption of emerging technologies in the logistics and supply chain sector.

To add practical benefits, all trainees participating in this course will need to complete TWO project work relating to Machine Learning and Robotic Process Automation. These two projects must be submitted on Day 5 as the final requirement for completing the course and awarding the Professional Certificate in Supply Chain Innovation by Singapore Management University (SMU) Academy.
