Southeast Asia’s e-commerce market grew 35.2% over 2020, and is projected to grow 14.3% in 2021. With so many countries within the region growing rapidly, how are they faring up against each other?

Our media partner, Parcel Monitor analysed the e-commerce logistics performance in the first quarter of 2021.  Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand were the countries being evaluated and complemented with Rakuten Insight’s consumer insights to find out who performed better:

  1. Singapore had the fastest delivery time of 1.3 days while Malaysia had the longest delivery time of 2.6 days
  2. Indonesia had a spike of 55% during Ramadan season 2021
  3. Consumers in Singapore uses collection points the most compared to the rest of the region
