OpenPort recently raises Series A Funding to support its rapid growth in Asia, including Singapore. This is a sign of an increasing recognition of the need for businesses to improve their supply chain and logistics management.
OpenPort’s cloud-based digital logistics platform transforms domestic distribution in emerging markets by creating a direct, transparent relationship between shippers and transport carriers. With integration into enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems on the shipper side, the platform offers unprecedented end-to-end visibility over the supply chain in emerging markets.
Max Ward, CEO of OpenPort, says ““We believe that the key to revolutionising logistics is through direct collaboration between shippers and transporters, and this is now made possible through new technology. This represents a new way of thinking about supply chain management.”
To support growth in Singapore and the rest of SEA, OpenPort recently appointed Morten Damgaard as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) that is based in Singapore. Prior to joining OpenPort, Mr Damgaard was the CEO of Agility Logistics in SEA.
