Grand Canal Solutions has launched its company and a new business-to-business (B2B) SaaS solution called the Optimize™ Predictive Supply Chain Analytics Platform, which employs predictive analytics to help companies rapidly and continuously improve their supply chain operations.

By analysing supply chain data from across the company, Optimize identifies hidden inefficiencies to reduce costs, employs predictive analytics to gauge the impact of important business decisions and investments, and links order, transportation, and logistics data together to paint a clearer picture of a business’ entire supply chain.

The Optimize platform constantly looks for new ways for businesses to lower their costs, improve transit times, and better serve customers. The platform sends actionable alerts so that companies can identify new opportunities and make their supply chains as efficient as possible. For example, the platform analyses historical discount levels, predicts future shipping volume for specific carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, etc.) and notifies a company when they would gain or lose the advantage of a carrier discount. Further, the platform can predict carrier cost increases as well as prescribe the ideal time to begin an RFP process to procure carrier services.
