Aimed at generating greater public awareness of the maritime sector, the 13th edition of the Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) will be held at the Suntec City North Atrium from 21 to 29 April.
Themed “Maritime Singapore. Future Ready”, an exhibition is open to visitors of all ages and will feature outreach activities highlighting Singapore’s vibrancy and diversity as a global hub port and international maritime centre.
A highlight at the exhibition is an exclusive feature on the upcoming Tuas Port titled “The Next Generation Port in the Making”. Through innovative project showcases, visitors can learn about the various technologies that are transforming our maritime industry, such as remote pilotage and digital fleet management systems, as well as wearable technology which leverages augmented reality and biosensors.
On Tuesday (24 April), a dialogue session will be hosted by Supply Chain Asia from 4.30pm-5.30pm. Panellists will be discussing the impact of Industry 4.0 on supply chain and logistics and what more should be done to prepare for changes impacting the shipping and logistics sectors.
