Academy @ Supply Chain Asia

Written by

Training @ Supply Chain Asia Academy

Academy @ Supply Chain Asia provides skills and knowledge-based training to the industry. The Academy provides highly interactive training programs targeting at adult learners through the engagement of industry professionals as faculty members and facilitators.

Training with a difference

Education in the formation years are meant to provide basic foundation before an adult enters the workforce. While the teachings at this level are meant to prepare students to become effective for the workforce, most of the training at the educational level provides conceptual knowledge with little opportunity for practical execution and implementation.

At Academy @ Supply Chain Asia we seek to complement the foundation education with practical trainings that equip trainees with immediate applicable skills and knowledge. This would ensure that trainees could contribute effectively to their work place as well as become productive within a shorter learning curve.

We do this through the use of facilitators and coaches who are experienced professionals from the industry. Lessons within most of the training programs are enhanced using one-on-one dialogues with seasoned professionals and veterans. In addition, educational site visits are conducted to various logistics and supply chain operating centers such as logistics distribution centers, ports and air cargo hubs.

Corporate Training Support

Companies can expect extensive support from Academy @ Supply Chain Asia in their effort to upgrade their talent base. Programs can be customized to suit the unique needs of each company. SMEs can explore participating in the Apprenticeship/Management Traineeship programs whereby the Academy can assist them in designing structured On-the-Job training programs to groom new and existing talents

Trainee Career Counseling Support

Trainees at Academy @ Supply Chain Asia can expect further support in terms of career advisory and counseling services. Over time, Supply Chain Asia aims to set up a Career Services Center to provide both online and physical platforms to link up prospective employers and employees together.
